Hazard Identification & Action
A hazard can be described as anything that could cause you and others any form of harm.
A hazard that can cause you serious harm is described as significant.
Once a significant hazard has been determined the school must take “all practical steps” to eliminate, isolate or minimise the significant hazard. 
Safety Signage 
Here are some examples : Identify the sign ( type and what is it telling you), Describe what it means ,Explain what action you would take and any Places where you would expect to see this.
Identify- Yellow Triangular sign
slipping in something on the floor.
Describe . The sign describes a slippery floor which may be wet .It is a yellow triangle which a black surround and has a black insert
Explain The hazard sign warns of a slippery floor which can cause a person to slip over. The result of the slip could cause broken bones sprains or a head injury. The wet floor can be protected by barriers or cleaned up or a non slip mat put down.
|  Identify: Red Prohibition sign
Describe: This sign means no cell phones. It has a black phone crossed out inside a red cross on a white background.
Explain: that whatever is in the sign is banned

Identify: Red fire sign
is if there is a fire to use the item provided

Identity: Green access sign
Describe:
Explain:it is a sign for where to go if you get something in your eyes or eye

Identity: Blue circular sign
Describe:
Explain: ear protection required
|
Identity: Black and red danger sign
Describe: there is a high risk of danger in the area past or in the fenced area around this sign
